The Best Leaders, and the Best Parents, Don't Create Dependence. They Build Capacity.

During the past two weeks working with executive leadership teams, I was reminded that the most effective leaders don't rush to provide answers. They ask questions that help others think more deeply, make better decisions, and grow in confidence.

The same is true at home.

Whether you're leading a school district or raising a child, success isn't measured by how many problems you solve. It's measured by how many people you've helped become capable of solving problems themselves.

That's the quiet work of leadership. And it's the kind of leadership our schools, organizations, and families need most.
